hey! I'm maggi.
It's great to meet you. I'd like to share a bit about myself, how i found my way to the mat, and what i like to help students get out of their practice.
My own experience growing up with brittle bone disease and later managing chronic stress and fatigue from my career in the fashion industry led me to my yoga mat for the first time ten years ago. Sparked by how strong I felt physically after just a few weeks, I began to practice daily.
As time passed, I noticed transformation in other areas of my life, too. I had more energy, I carried less stress home from my job, and dug into friendships more. I managed my time more effectively. I studied meditation and cultivated a daily practice (which can be done, I learned, even in between conference calls and dinners out). I was turning into a more amplified, more aware version of myself -- and it showed.
Giving myself permission to take time for ‘me’ unlocked the door to a path of discovering how practicing wellness and self-care is not only possible for the modern professional, but essential. After studying Classical Vinyasa, Mysore-style Ashtanga, Yoga Nidra and Meditation in New York City, I completed PURE Yoga’s 200-Hour Teaching Training in 2017 and their 300-Hour Teacher Training in 2018.
As students, we may crave a physical challenge, a sense of community, peace of mind or just a killer playlist. Now as a teacher, I’m privileged to meet students wherever they are on their journeys toward feeling better.
I am based in Austin, TX and offer soulful, alignment-based and therapeutically-minded Vinyasa, Hot Vinyasa, Slow Flow and Restorative classes. I also currently offer Yoga Nidra and Meditation classes on both the group and individual level.
